About this Recipe
The Pink Hue Go Spritz: Our Drink of the Summer
Light, floral, beautifully refreshing and gloriously pink, it is our colourful twist on the classic Hugo Spritz and the perfect way to enjoy our new Pink Elderflower Liqueur.
The traditional Hugo Spritz is made with elderflower liqueur, prosecco, soda and fresh mint. We have given it a Devil’s Dyke makeover by replacing the usual elderflower liqueur with our own Pink Elderflower Liqueur and swapping ordinary prosecco for rosé prosecco.
The result is bright, fizzy, floral and almost far too pretty to drink.
Almost.
What Makes Our Pink Elderflower Liqueur Different?
Our Pink Elderflower Liqueur is made using flowers from our own Sambucus nigra plants, grown right here at the distillery.
It has a delicate honeyed sweetness, a lovely citrus lift and soft, ripe pear notes, all wrapped up in a beautiful pink hue.
When paired with rosé prosecco, it creates a spritz that is refreshing without being overly sweet, making it ideal for sunny afternoons, garden parties and long summer evenings.
It also looks absolutely fabulous in a large wine glass filled with ice.
🍸 How to Make a Pink Hue Go Spritz
-
Fill a large wine glass generously with ice, then add:
- 50ml Pink Elderflower Liqueur
- 100ml Rosé prosecco
- A splash (25ml) of soda
Give everything a gentle stir, then garnish with a slice of lemon and a fresh sprig of mint.
That is it. No complicated equipment, no cocktail shaker and no faff.
Just a beautifully simple summer serve that looks every bit as good as it tastes.
