Pinot Noir Gin. From Sussex Vineyard to Glass

Our Pinot Noir Gin brings together two beautiful sides of Sussex: grapes from Charles Palmer Vineyard in Winchelsea and our own Devil’s Dyke Signature London Dry Gin. It’s Ruby red, fruity and naturally sweet. An exciting meet of vineyard and distillery, and something quite different for your drinks cabinet.

A Sussex vineyard connection

Charles Palmer Vineyard is a family-run estate above the historic town of Winchelsea in East Sussex. Its south-facing vines sit just a mile from the sea, in a beautiful corner of the Sussex countryside.

Working with the vineyard, we give their Pinot Noir grapes a second life by blending their character with the botanicals of our Signature London Dry Gin. Two Sussex producers, brought together in one distinct bottle.

Finished with Pinot Noir oak

We give our Pinot Noir Gin an extra finishing touch using French oak staves supplied by Charles Palmer Vineyard, previously used with their Pinot Noir. It’s another connection to the vineyard, carrying the story from grape to gin and through to its oak finish.

What does our Pinot Noir Gin taste like?

Expect a fruity gin infusion with natural sweetness and the botanical character of our Signature London Dry.

People often tell us it reminds them of port. That makes it a lovely little after-dinner tipple, or something a bit different to bring out alongside a cheeseboard.

Pour a small measure and take your time with it. Trying it on its own first is a lovely way to get to know the flavours before choosing how you’d like to serve it.

How to enjoy it

Enjoy neat or over ice for a simple after-dinner serve. Put the bottle on the table with your favourite cheeses and let everyone discover something new.

For a longer drink, try tonic over plenty of ice, or ginger beer for a spicier combination. Start with one part gin to two parts mixer, then adjust to suit your taste.
