About this Recipe

Being a long-term member of the Craft Gin Club, we’ve collected up a few of their magazines over the year. There was one recipe from said magazine that really stuck in my head!

Even though his truffle recipe is super quick and easy to make, your efforts will be greatly appreciated by all who receive them!

I feel some romantic tasting gifts about to be made!

INGREDIENTS

  • 400g dark chocolate
  • 200g double cream
  • 50ml signature dry gin
  • 40ml tonic water
  • 1 lime, juice and zest
  • Cocoa power to dusting
  • chocolate sprinkles

Step 1

Carefully melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water–ensure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water!

Step 2

Remove from the heat, then stir in the double cream. Mix until smooth. Now add the gin, tonic, lime juice and zest.

Step 3

Mix until the combination is smooth and has thickened slightly. Transfer to an airtight container and place in the fridge overnight.

Step 4

Remove from fridge, wash hands and roll teaspoon sizes of the mixture into balls.

Step 5

Place them onto baking paper and return to the fridge for up to 2 hours.

Step 6

Sieve the cocoa powder into a bowl and individually roll each ball before placing in a gift box…or your mouth!

When we made these truffles at home, we used Devil’s Dyke Signature Dry Gin in the recipe. You can grab a bottle from the shop x

Thank you to Craft Gin Club for the inspiration!
